This is something I’ve noticed before, but I’ve seen no one talk about it.
In Magic Bullet, after Derek’s been punched awake by Stiles, he gets the bullet and starts to get up. And he reaches for Stiles’ hand. After having no one there for him, no one to help him up. He’s getting help now.
This kid’s been with him all day. He didn’t throw him out of his Jeep (even if he threatened it). He didn’t take him to his house after Derek objected to it. He took him to the animal clinic and waited with him. He was going to cut off his arm - even though he didn’t want to - so he could still be alive, and Derek reaches out for him. But then he sees what he’s doing, and either
A: Catches himself when he sees, and ducks away. You can’t get attached, Derek. You’re not supposed to do that. Don’t accept the help. He’ll get killed, too.
or
B: He realizes Stiles hit him to wake him up (and isn’t even mad about it), and Stiles’ hand hurts so he can’t help him up that way. So he lets Stiles grab him around the arm and pick him up, along with Scott.
And just a side note, Stiles reaches out for him, too. And their fingers touch. And Stiles remembers Oh shit my hand hurts and pulls away, too.
But whatever, it’s just an observation.
Sherlock peered down at the city below him, toes of his shoes just hanging off the edge of the roof. He had to do this. For John. There was no choice in this. (x)
